Aggregation manager and regional manager salary in Australia
An aggregation manager or regional manager running a multi-property portfolio earns a base of $180,000 to $250,000, set by the number of properties, the megalitres of water under management and the region span.
All figures are base salary in Australian dollars. They exclude superannuation (12 per cent) and the package on top (housing, vehicle and bonuses). Figures as at June 2026.

Tiers read in the number of properties, the megalitres of water under management and the region span: a single region or a small group of properties in the first bracket; multiple properties across regions with larger megalitres under management in the second. This role is filled almost entirely off-market. It is rarely advertised with a pay figure, so the band is built from benchmarking and placement data rather than open ads, and reads against the cost of attracting a passive, currently-employed operator.

Accommodation or housing plus utilities is standard, worth $25,000 to $35,000. A fully maintained vehicle with private use is standard, $18,000 to $25,000. Short-term incentives run 15 to 25 per cent of base, and a long-term incentive is common at fund-backed aggregations.
What moves the number.
Portfolio scale sets the base: number of properties and megalitres of water under management. Reporting line matters (CEO or investment-manager level). Water-security risk weighs on irrigated aggregations, and the supply of cotton-fluent, commercially literate operators is thin. Aggregation skews cotton and cropping; the regional manager remit skews horticulture; pay is similar across the two.
